A rare early December snow fell in Southeast Louisiana on Friday, December 8th, much to the delight of children of all ages, while creating headaches for those who had to work and travel. The Pin Oak Terminals grounds saw about 3 inches total which blanketed the River Parishes area beginning around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning.

The last time the River Parishes saw any measurable snow was almost 10 years ago on Dec. 11, 2008. In 2004 the area received half an inch on Christmas Day.

Here are some images obtained by staff and security cameras at Pin Oak Terminals.
